Brock ended McMaster's story book run to the Bank of America Baggataway Cup finals by a score of 12-11 and ended their 2009 season a perfect 13-0.

November 8th, 2009 – Ottawa, Ont.?Sunny, 13 degrees.?In front of an excited and near capacity crowd at Carleton University’s Keith Harris Stadium and the Bank of America Baggataway Cup at stake, both McMaster and Brock did not disappoint!?


McMaster set the tone in the first quarter, leading by a score of 3 – 1 after twenty minutes.?Brock took the second quarter by storm by scoring 5 goals to McMaster’s 2 and were ahead 6 – 5 at halftime.?End to end action continued in the third and fourth quarters.?Brock won a tight third quarter with 3 goals to McMaster’s 2. McMaster’s player of the game Kevin MacRory, a junior from Etobicoke, Ontario, seemed unstoppable leading all scorers with 6 points (5 goals, 1 assist) on the day and in the?playoffs?with 14 points in 3 games (11 goals, 3 assists).


Sophomore and player of the game for Brock Mike MaCleod of Owen Sound, Ontario, continued to push Brock forward scoring 2 of his 3 goals in the final quarter.?MaCleod was tied for second in points in the?tournament with fellow teammate Chris Nash (10 points).


The second half belonged to Brett Kikot who put an end to McMaster’s story book playoff run that started with come from behind wins against both Guelph and Trent by making several key saves.?2 of MacRory’s 5 goals came in the final stanza which McMaster won 4 – 2, but Brock went on to win the war 12-11.


Brock ended their 2009 season a perfect 13-0.?We look forward to watching both teams compete in 2010!
